Suffield Emergency Aid Association Collecting Backpack Supplies

The Suffield Emergency Aid Association has begun collecting supplies for its annual "Return to School Backpack Program."

Last year, thanks to the generosity of its volunteers and community, the EAA was able to distribute 156 backpacks filled with supplies to low-income school-age children in Suffield.

The backpacks are filled with pens, pencils, rulers, paper, calculators, erasers, index cards and other supplies necessary for schoolchildren.

Donations of items are being accepted through August 14 at the EAA office at 450 South St. Monetary donations are also accepted, to provide for additional needs.
