Who Will Lead The Suffield Fire Commission? Chair Vote Set For Tuesday

The meeting agenda includes an election for chair and discussion and approval of the upcoming fire department budget.

SUFFIELD, CT — The Suffield Fire Commission does not currently have an elected chair and has scheduled a special meeting to address the issue and take up other business.

A public statement circulating in town says the commission’s only elected officer previously called a special meeting for the purpose of electing a chairperson. It says a quorum of members indicated they were available for a Friday, Feb. 6 meeting at 6 p.m., but only half of the commission attended.

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Fire Station 2, 9 Ratley Road.
