Suffield Golfers in the Hunt at Connecticut Junior PGA Championship
Entering the final round, golfers from Avon and New Britain lead the boys and girls divisions, with 14 other area players in hot pursuit.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Hartford County is well-represented at the top of the leaderboard in both the boys and girls divisions after the opening round of the Connecticut Junior PGA Championship at The Course at Yale.
Tyler Hahn of Avon was the only player to break par, firing a 2-under 68 to lead by two strokes over Brendan Fagan of Unionville and Sathscia Sowinkong of Wallingford. That trio will comprise Wednesday's final threesome, teeing off at 12:40 p.m.
Starting immediately before that group at 12:30 p.m. will be the three leading girls: Pacharada Treekul of New Britain (71, +1), Angela Garvin of Feeding Hills, Mass. (73, +3) and Maisie Filler of Bloomfield (75, +5).
