Suffield/Granby/Windsor Locks Seeded in Ice Hockey Tournament

SUFFIELD, CT — Thirteen boys ice hockey teams containing players from 26 schools in Hartford and Tolland counties will be competing for state championships beginning Monday, as the CIAC released its pairings brackets Friday morning.

Five area teams will be taking part in the Division I tournament, four in Division II and four in Division III.

Here is a look at first-round matchups for the area squads. Click the division header for the complete bracket.

Division I
First-round games Wednesday, 3/8

• No. 16 St. Joseph at No. 1 Northwest Catholic, 7:30 p.m.
• No. 14 East Catholic at No. 3 Xavier, TBA
• No. 12 Glastonbury at No. 5 Notre Dame-West Haven, 4 p.m.
• No. 10 Suffield/Granby/Windsor Locks at No. 7 Fairfield Prep, TBA
• No. 9 Simsbury at No. 8 Hamden, 7 p.m.

Division II

Division III
