Suffield High School Diver Excels at State Open Championships

NEW HAVEN, CT — For the second straight year, and 17th time since 1980, Greenwich High School breezed to victory in the State Open girls swimming championships Saturday at Yale University.

The Cardinals compiled 510.5 points to easily outdistance runnerup Ridgefield, which had 400.5.

Kelsey Titterington of Suffield tied for ninth in the 1 meter diving competition, which was held Friday evening at Bulkeley High School.

A new state record was established in the 50 freestyle, and State Open records were broken in the 200 medley relay and 100 breaststroke.
