Suffield To Host Final Dustin Doyon Memorial Road Race
The longtime Suffield event returns May 23, with proceeds helping support local student scholarships in Dustin Doyon's name.
SUFFIELD, CT — The final Dustin L. Doyon Memorial Road Race is set for May 23 in Suffield, with proceeds supporting scholarships awarded to Suffield High School students in Doyon’s memory.
The Town of Suffield will host the event, according to the Suffield Police Department. Organizers said runners and walkers can now register online for the longtime memorial race.
The race will be held at Suffield Middle School, 350 Mountain Road. Free parking will be available next to the school, and participants should head to the front entrance area and look for a large white tent for registration or bib pickup.

The 10K run is scheduled to begin at 9:25 a.m. The 5K run and walk will start at 9:30 a.m.
Same-day bib pickup and registration will run from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Pre-registration is preferred, organizers said.

The cost is $30 for the 5K run and walk. The 10K run costs $35.
Organizers said free T-shirts will be given to the first 225 registrants. Additional shirts will be available for $15, and water and refreshments will also be provided.
The event will begin at Suffield Middle School and continue onto Hill Street in an out-and-back format. Organizers described the course as hilly and said it will include water stops, mile markers, rural scenery, and “maybe a cow or two.”
Guests are welcome at the event. Awards will be given to first-place finishers in both the 5K and 10K across male and female age brackets of up to 20, 21 to 35, 36 to 50, and 51 and older.
Each first-place age bracket winner will receive a $50 cash prize. The overall male and female winners in both the 5K and 10K will also receive an additional award.
