Suffield Hosts Annual Senior Center Holiday Luncheon

The Police Department, Volunteer Ambulance Association and Fire Department helped spread a little holiday cheer in Suffield.

From the Suffield Police Department: Right before the Christmas holiday, members of the Suffield Police, Volunteer Ambulance Association (SVAA), and Suffield Fire Department spread a little holiday cheer by participating in the annual Senior Center holiday luncheon. Sponsored by the Police Department in collaboration with the Suffield Senior Center, this eighth (8th) annual event was attended by over one hundred (100) senior citizen residents.

Chief of Police Richard Brown, Fire Chief Charles Flynn, and Chief of the Suffield Ambulance Art Groux joined Senior Center Director Paula Pascoe to serve up the hot delicious meal provided by Suffield Pizza Restaurant. Other staff from the senior center, ambulance, and police and fire departments served the three courses of the meal to each resident in attendance with helping hands from Police Commissioners Kevin Armata. Ken Pascoe, and Linda Stevenson as well as Town Clerk Kathy Dunai.

A session of Bingo followed the meal with residents earning from a wide host of prizes donated to this event by local businesses such as: Dimension Hair Salon, Doanes Automotive, Francesco’s Restaurant, Moxy Boutique, Polish Pottery Market, Suffield Country Club, Suffield Cleaners, West Side Oil and Zantos Restaurant.

This event would not have occurred if it were it not for the committed tireless work of Paula Pascoe of the Suffield Senior Center and Suffield Police School Resource Officer (SRO) Thomas Kieselback., both of whom coordinated the event and acquired all the staffing and resources to make this special holiday event happen. The Suffield Police Department and Suffield Senior Center would like to also thank the generosity of our local businesses that supported this holiday celebration.
