Suffield Inmate Accused of Sexually Assaulting Correction Officer

An inmate at a Suffield prison has been charged with groping the breasts of a female correction officer in July, the Journal Inquirer reported.

Allen Oakes, 28, of Hartford, faces charges of third-degree sexual assault, second-degree unlawful restraint and assault on a public safety officer.

The incident took place at the MacDougall-Walker Correctional Insitution on the morning of July 10, when Oakes allegedly reached down the officer’s shirt and grabbed her breasts, according to an affidavit supporting his arrest obtained by the JI.
