Suffield Launches Free Service That Alerts Homeowners To Property Fraud
The town is encouraging residents to sign up for a no-cost alert system that notifies them when documents are recorded against property.
SUFFIELD, CT — With more residents asking questions about property and mortgage fraud, the Suffield Town Clerk’s Office is pointing homeowners to a free tool designed to catch suspicious activity early.
The Town Clerk’s Office offers PropertyCheck, a no-cost, 24/7 alert service that notifies users when official documents are recorded on their property or under their name. The goal is to give residents a heads-up if something doesn’t look right, so they can act quickly.

Residents can register in a few steps:

- Use the “Search Sites” button to select the town where you want alerts
- Set up notifications for your records and choose how you want to receive them
The Town Clerk’s Office said residents can create multiple alert variations and receive notifications by text message or secure email.
