Suffield Man Arrested After Car Strikes Police Cruiser

The police car was parked in a private driveway when the incident took place, according to police.

SUFFIELD, CT — A Suffield man was arrested Saturday night after his car ran off the road and struck a town police cruiser.

Mark O'Neill was charged with operating under the influence, refusal to submit to test and failure to drive in proper lane.

Around 8:12 p.m., a vehicle operated by O'Neill left the roadway on North Main Street, also known as Route 75, and struck a cruiser parked in a private driveway, police said.

There were no reported injuries.

Route 75 was closed for about 90 minutes during the investigation, police said.
