VERNON, CT — Two new Vernon police officers were sworn in on Monday. Charles Vogt grew up in Windsor Locks and graduated from Windsor Locks High School in 2011. He earned a degree in sports and leisure management from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2016 and was a member of the ECSU baseball team. Matthew Guilmette grew up in Suffield and graduated from Suffield High School in 2014. He is currently attending Central Connecticut State University as a criminology major.
