Suffield Obituary: Betty Fitzsimmons, 83

Condolences to her family and friends.

Betty Lou Tyrrell Fitzsimmons, 83, of East Windsor, died at the Suffield House on Saturday, December 12, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was born in Vandling, PA and lived in East Windsor since 1953. She worked at the Montgomery Company in Windsor Locks in the 1950’s before leaving to become a full time mother. Betty was a communicant of St. Philip Church in East Windsor.

Betty was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, James Fitzsimmons Sr. and leaves a daughter, Bethanne Fitzsimmons of East Windsor and a son James M. Fitzsimmons Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Somers. She also leaves three brothers, Arthur, James and his wife Karin, and David and his wife Donna and her sister-in-law Frances Fitzsimmons of Archbald, PA, cousin Judy Schultz, many nieces and nephews and three grandpuppies, Jessie, Jamie and Alexandria. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Jean Tyrrell and cousin Connie Schultz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. in St. Philip Church, East Windsor. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor.
