Suffield Obituary: Dorothy Flick, 87

Dorothy Woodmansee Flick, 87, of Windsor Locks, beloved wife of the late Robert Joseph Flick joined the Lord Jesus Christ in heaven on Sunday, February 14, 2016 on their 67th wedding anniversary.

She was born on May 25, 1928 in Hartford, and was the daughter of the late Earl and Rose (Demers) Woodmansee. Dorothy was a resident of Windsor Locks for sixty four years. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Suffield and Pattaconk Yacht Club in Haddam. She enjoyed knitting, reading, and being a great mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Dorothy is survived by her three children, Robert Earl Flick of Topanga Canyon, CA, Charles Edward Flick and his wife Jayne of Chester, VT, Earle Woodmansee Flick and his wife Karen Pierpont-Flick of Finksburg, MD; two grandsons, Jonathan Flick and his wife Sara of Newtown, and Jeremy Flick and his wife Megan of Bolton; four great grandchildren, Trinity, Naomi, Asher, Charles, and a great-grandson on the way. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a sister Carol Woodmansee.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family for calling hours on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring Street, Windsor Locks. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 585 South Street, Suffield. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery.
