
Edward A. Bennett, 81, of Suffield, and formerly of Bloomfield, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017.
Born in Jamaica, he was raised there where he was a professional Interior Decorator before moving to the United States. He settled in Hartford, then lived in Bloomfield for over 19 years before moving to Suffield five years ago. Before his retirement he was employed 25 years by the Connecticut Transit. Edward was a music and art lover.
He leaves behind daughters Antoinette Slatkavitz (husband, Robert) of Suffield, Eleanor Bennett of Simsbury, Dahlia Vandenburg (husband, Anthony) of Holland, Rowena Clarke of Manchester, Carroll Bennett and a son Paul Bennett; and three grandchildren Aimee, Tessa, and Daysha.

His family will receive friends Saturday, August 5, at 1:00 p.m. for an hour prior to a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East Street, Route 159, Suffield. The Rev. Henry Smolinski will officiate.
