Suffield Obituary: Estelle Skodis, 82

Estelle Pelletier Skodis, 82, departed this life on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Hartford Hospital due to complications with Alzheimer’s.

Born July 22,1935 in Nashua, NH, she was the daughter of the late Aline and Irving Pelletier. Estelle grew up in Nashua, graduated from Nashua High School, and met the love of her life, Larry. Estelle was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Together they raised five children and spoiled eight grandchildren.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 62 years Lawrence “Larry” Skodis of Suffield. She also leaves behind children Deborah Page and Charles of Gardner, MA, Pamela Abbott and Colby of Magnolia, DE, Lawrence Skodis Jr. and Ruth of Granby, Richard Skodis of Rutland, MA, and son-in-law, Robert DeAngelis, as well as her grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Brittany, Aaron, Rebecca, Emily, Christopher, and Noah. She also leaves behind her sister Lorette Marcoux of Nashua, NH. Estelle was preceded in death by her youngest daughter Jennifer DeAngelis, her sister Rita Paro, and her brother Richard Pelletier.

Estelle’s family would like to thank the staff at Hartford Hospital for the phenomenal care she received in the last weeks of her life.

A celebration of life will be held at Browne Memorial, Enfield, on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m.
