
Eunice Karliner, of Suffield, formerly of Palm Beach Shores, FL., and Windsor, passed, at her home, on March 2, 2016 after a long illness.
Born in Detroit, MI. on March 18, 1924, the daughter of the late Jacob and Ada Lubin. They have three children; Joan and her husband Phil Leighton of Portola Valley, California; Joel and his wife Janet of Windsor, and Jay Karliner of Vernon. Eunice had five grandchildren and five great grandchildren: Jennifer Karliner of Vernon and Julie and Matthew Thibodeau of Vernon and their son Micah. David Karliner of Windsor and Daniel Krasner and Christina McInerney and their children Chase and Cole in Los Angeles, CA; and Rachel Krasner and Tai Kim and their children: Liviya and Isla, of Happy Camp, CA. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Henry Karliner and a brother, Harold, of California.
Eunice attended Shenandoah College in Virginia, a music conservatory at the time, and her love of music remained with her all of her life. She was a longtime volunteer at Mt. Sinai Hospital and was instrumental in the success of the Liberty Stores of Connecticut and Massachusetts and The Windsor Towne House Hotel in Windsor.

The family is especially grateful to Comfort Keepers of Enfield, who sent her Cynthia Trail, the best and most compassionate caregiver we have ever known. It was because of her loving care, that Eunice was able to stay home in comfort during the final year of her life.
Carmon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. There are no calling hours and the funeral will be private.
