Suffield Obituary: Evelyn Tatoian, 96

Evelyn H. Tatoian, 96, of Enfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Suffield House in Suffield.

Born on January 9, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Avidis and Elsie (Demergian) Tatoian and was a lifelong resident of Enfield. Evelyn was a graduate of Enfield High School Class of 1938 and of the Bay Path Institute Class of 1943. Before retiring, she was employed as a secretary by the Veteran's Administration in Hartford for thirty-five years.

Evelyn traveled extensively and enjoyed spending time, over the years, at her vacation homes in Old Lyme and Orlando, Florida. She cherished the time spent with her family and friends and leaves them with many good memories.

She is survived by five nephews, Dr. James A. Tatoian, Jr. of Haverford, Pennsylvania, Attorney Phillip E. Tatoian, Jr. of New Hope, Pennsylvania, Dr. Harry. E. Tatoian, Jr. of Pawleys Island, South Carolina, Attorney Richard M. Tatoian of Enfield, Dr. Robert D. Tatoian of Enfield and Attorney John A. Tatoian of Somers; three nieces, Elsie Nigohosian of Haworth, New Jersey, Margaret Kratlian of Easton, Massachusetts and Marilyn Tatoian Williams of Suffield. She was predeceased by her siblings, Dr. James A. Tatoian, Attorney Phillip E. Tatoian, Harry E. Tatoian and Catherine E. Tatoian. and by a niece, Sona Tatoian Jones. She also leaves many grandnieces and grandnephews.

A graveside service will be held at Enfield Street Cemetery on Thursday, September 8th at 11:30 A.M.
