Suffield Obituary: Frances Sobinski, 95

Frances S. Sobinski, 95, of Suffield, beloved wife of the late Chester Sobinski, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, July 31, 2017.

Born in Thompsonville to the late Joseph and Mary (Golas) Lyko, she has been a Suffield resident most of her life where she raised vegetables and tobacco on her family farm. Frances was a member of St. Joseph Church in Suffield and the Suffield Senior Center and enjoyed playing BINGO, lottery scratch tickets and trips to the casino.

Her family would like to extend a special thank you to her nurse Joie, who brought a smile to her face whenever she visited, her health aides Zulma and Trish, who treated her with great kindness and her doctor, Dr. Anastasio for being understanding and abiding by her wishes to do it her way.

Frances is survived by her sons, Chester Sobinski of Suffield and Kenneth Sobinski and his wife Donna Corbin Sobinski of Enfield; her grandchildren, Robert Sobinski and his wife Denise, Scott Sobinski and his wife Sarah, Aimee Sobinski, and Kellie Sobinski and her fiancé Jared Belcher; and her great-grandchildren, Chase, Logan, Kelsey and Mackenna.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, August 4 at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. North, Suffield, followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Suffield. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, August 3 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home.
