Joan (Janes) Senick, 60, of West Suffield passed Friday June 9th surrounded by her loving family.
Joanie was born May 8th, 1957 in Hartford, daughter of Joyce (Couture) Owens. She was predeceased by her Father Robert “Duke” Janes. Joanie worked in the Bristol Public school system for many years with special needs children. Joanie’s joys in life were the happiness of her family and friends and assuring everyone around her was comfortable.
She spent her life building a loving home and a strong foundation for her sons, supporting them wholeheartedly in all of their endeavors from Cub Scouts to Little League, college, careers, babies and beyond. Joan’s boundless loving, kind, nurturing nature was a true inspiration to all who knew her.

In addition to her husband Gregory, she is survived by her mother Joyce and her husband Gary Owens, her stepfather Richard Carone, her loving sons Thomas (TJ) and Joshua Grigerik, her stepchildren Brittany Senick, Peter Senick and his wife Jennifer and Ryan Senick, grandchildren Summer Grigerik, Maddox and Everly Senick. She leaves behind her seven siblings Robin, Cathy, Robert, Michael, Catherine, Cheryl and Jimmy, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Wednesday (June 14) from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday (June 15) at 11:00am in The Ahern Funeral Home.
