Suffield Obituary: Julia Zator, 97

Condolences to her family and friends.

Julia A. (Urbanowski) Zator, of Enfield passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016. Julia was married for 66 years to the late Frank J. Zator who preceded her in death on February 5, 2005.

She was born in Suffield on February 27, 1918, to the late Fred and Mary (Noga) Urbanowski and has resided on Weymouth Rd. since 1949.

She leaves two sons and a daughter-in-law, Frank J. and Mary Ann Zator of Windham Center and Thomas of Enfield; seven grandchildren, Ann (Jason) Bousquet of Scotland, Paul (Jennifer) Zator of Columbia, Susan (Mark) Herrick of Windham, John (Lisa) Zator of Hampton, Michael (Leslie) Zator of Scotland, Teri Burch of Tulsa, OK and Brenda Schwartzkopf of Saratoga, WY; 16 great-grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren and four great, great-grandchildren. Julia also leaves two sisters, Frances Babiarz of Windsor Locks and Bernice Wadsworth of Gilsum, NH; a sister-in-law, Mary Shykula of Windsor and many nieces and nephews along with a very special friend, Terry Rush of Windsor Locks with whom she enjoyed many Sunday Polish picnics. In addition to her husband, Julia was also preceded in death by an infant son, Paul Allen and her brothers, Joseph, John, Theodore and her sisters, Dominica Larson and Jeanne Seaha.

Julia was a great cook and gardener. She took much pleasure in maintaining all the flowerbeds in her yard and received many compliments for the array of flowers throughout the property. She was very much loved and will greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, from 10 am to 11:30 am at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Adalbert Cemetery.
