Nancy Jean McKiernan, 55, of Suffield and formerly of Windsor, beloved wife of Craig S. McKiernan passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford.
Born January 4, 1961 in Hartford daughter of the late Edward and Shirley (Stratton) Gawlik she lived in Windsor all her life until moving to Suffield three years ago. Nancy had the natural gift of being a people person and used it to the best of her ability working in customer service for U.S. Airways for seven years before her health forced her to retire. She was very devoted to and loved by her family and friends. She was a member of St. Gabriel Church, in Windsor, and she loved to travel.
Besides her husband, Craig of 35 years, she is survived by a son, Brett McKiernan and his wife, Laura of Newington; a daughter, Laurel McKiernan-Jansen and her husband, Joseph of NC; a brother, Alan Gawlik and his wife, Michelle of Suffield; a sister, Debra Ellingwood and her husband, David of Windsor.

Her family will receive friends Monday, December 19, 2016 from 5-8 PM at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2016, 10:00 AM, at St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad St., Windsor. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Suffield.
