Suffield Obituary: Paul Murray, 79

Paul Jerome Murray, 79, of Calabash, NC formerly of Suffield, beloved husband of Maryanne (Bialomyza) Murray passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017.

Born December 23, 1937 in Holyoke, MA son of the late Joseph and Rose (Grenier) Murray, he grew up in Holyoke before moving to Suffield where he raised his family and lived for over 40 years. He enjoyed his winter home in Calabash, NC for a number of years before moving there permanently three years ago.

Paul proudly served with the U.S. Army before working for Yankee Sheet Metal, East Hartford for over 30 years. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. During Paul’s free time you would most likely find him playing golf. He was a member of Wyckoff Country Club, Airways Country Club, and a member of the Crow Creek Men’s Golf Association in Calabash, NC.

Beside his wife Maryanne, he is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Coelho and her husband, Richard, of Scituate, MA, Christine Huemmer and her husband, Jon, of Whitsett, NC; four grandchildren, Anna and Emily Coelho and Evan Paul and Julieanne Huemmer; a number of siblings, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may gather Wednesday, October 4, 2017, 10:00 AM, at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N. (Rt. 159), Suffield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Church, Suffield.
