Suffield Obituary: Priscilla Wabrek, 94

Priscilla (Drake) Wabrek, 94, of Suffield, beloved wife of the late Paul H. Wabrek, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015.

She was born April 6, 1921 in Hartford, daughter of the late Harold and Lila (Miller) Drake. She lived in Windsor for34 years before moving to Suffield in 1974. Priscilla attended Central Connecticut Teachers College and New England School of Art in Boston. She graduated from Art School of Fashion in Hartford. She later went on to teach fashion design at both Art School of Fashion and A.I. Prince Technical School. She served as past president of the Windsor Women’s Club, she was a member of the Suffield Garden Club and the Suffield Women’s Club, she volunteered with Villages for Families and Children and was a member of the Suffield Country Club.

Priscilla is survived by four nephews, Michael, Eric and Paul Wabrek and Jim Whittemore; two nieces, Joanne Meyers and Judy McCabe; and a sister-in-law, Linda Wabrek; and many great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 585 South St., Suffield.
