Suffield Obituary: Ralph Petillo, 85

Ralph James Petillo, 85, of Madison and formerly of Suffield, beloved husband of the late Roscille (Nelson) Petillo passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at Brinton Manor in Glen Mills, PA.

Born June 13, 1931 in Lugano, Switzerland son of the late Frank and Cathrina (Caseel) Petillo, he had lived in OH, NY and NH before moving to Suffield where he lived for 45 years before moving to Madison a few years ago. Ralph served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Hamilton Standard before retiring; he was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and was a member of the Adult Choir.

Music was a large part of Ralph's life, he was a violinist in a quartet group, he played in the orchestra pit at the High School for many musicals, he enjoyed woodworking, painting and camping with family and friends.

He is survived by two sons, Daniel F. Petillo and his wife, Liz of Wilmington, DE, Doug R. Petillo and his wife, Flora of Glen Mills, PA; two daughters, Doree Voychick and her husband, Edward of The Villages, FL, Jamie McCauley and her husband, Thomas of Gilford; ten grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was predeceased by a brother, Albert Petillo.

Family and friends may gather Friday, August 19, 2016, 9:30 AM at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N., Suffield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Suffield. Burial with military honors will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Suffield.
