Suffield Obituary: Raymond Mahoney, 90

Raymond J. Mahoney, 90, of Suffield beloved husband of Natalie (Jones) Mahoney passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the Suffield House.

Born July 26, 1925 in New Haven, son of the late James P. and Mary (Hughes) Mahoney he grew up in the New Haven area and lived in Southwick, MA before moving to Suffield 55 years ago. He worked with building supply companies most of his career. Ray was a very active member of the First Church of Christ, Congregational Suffield, where he served as a Deacon and was a member of the Men's Fellowship. He was also a member of the Suffield Historical Society.

Besides his wife Natalie he is survived by a son, James Mahoney and his wife Barbara of Ipswich, MA; two daughters, Ann Berry and her husband Tad of Saratoga Springs, NY, Martha Mahoney of Boston, MA; two grandchildren, Nicholas Berry and Sean Mahoney.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016, 2 PM, at First Church of Christ, Congregational, 81 High St., Suffield.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of Ray's joy of reading memorial donations may be made to Kent Memorial Library, 61 Ffyler Place, Suffield, CT 06078.
