
Robert C. “Bob/Bud” Strniste, 77, of Suffield, beloved husband of Cathie (Hauser) Strniste, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 25, 2017 at Suffield House following a brief illness.
He was born on October 22, 1940 in Springfield, MA and was the son of the late Robert K. and Alice (Patterson) Strniste. He was employed by the National Cash Register Company (NCR) where he worked as a computer technician. Bob was a member of the Agawam Congregational Church.
One of his proudest accomplishments was the fact that he along with his grandfather and numerous other family members, rebuilt his 100 year old home. Blessed with a green thumb, he was an avid gardener as well as an accomplished boater where he could be found sailing or kayaking on the water with his family.

He shared many beautiful moments traveling with his wife Cathie, their children and their families. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed teaching his grandsons invaluable life skills.
Besides his wife of 54 years, he is survived by his son Bryan Strniste and his wife Janine of Scarborough, ME and a daughter Jennifer Dorval of Cape Elizabeth, ME. He also leaves his two cherished grandsons Ethan William and Benjamin Robert Dorval both of Maine. He is also survived by his two brothers; Gary F. Strniste and his wife Ginny of AZ and Bruce M. Strniste and his wife Maria of CA and also by his sister Cheryl Brewer and her husband Bob of OR.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at 11 am at the Agawam Congregational Church 754 Main St., Agawam, MA 01001. There will be no calling hours.
Should friends desire, contributions in Robert’s memory may be made to the Deacon’s Fund of The Agawam Congregational Church 754 Main St., Agawam, MA 01001 or to the Agawam/West Springfield Parish Cupboard, 103 Main St., West Springfield, MA 01089.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels.
