Suffield Police Captain Officially Retires

Capt. Craig Huntley served 25 years with the Suffield Police Department.

Suffield Police Capt. Craig Huntley has retired after 25 years of service, shortly after a no-confidence letter was submitted to the Police Commission by department members, the Journal Inquirer reported.

Huntley announced his retirement to interim Chief Anthony Riello on Oct. 7 and turned in all of his police equipment. Due to the use of accrued vacation time, his official retirement date is Nov. 2.

His departure follows that of Chief Michael Manzi, who retired in the summer after coming under fire for his handling of certain issues within the department.
