"Elizabeth will be supplementing our services by supporting the administrative and patrol divisions in the processing of permits, fingerprints, state required crime reports, web site updates, and court processes," Brown said in a written statement. "We are also excited to announce that Elizabeth is a certified child car seat installer. The Suffield Police Department is in the process of developing the program in conjunction with the Suffield Volunteer Ambulance Association to bring this benefit to our community.

As her position develops, Elizabeth will not only become an integral part of the accreditation team, she will begin analyzing our records to enhance our data-driven approach to resolving community concerns and crime trends. As we move forward, you will see that we are a progressive police agency that has embraced the community policing philosophy to improve our level of service. We believe this can be accomplished by working with you to prevent crime, solve problems, make arrests, and improve the quality of life in our community. Becoming one with our neighborhood(s) improves police service while enhancing crime prevention efforts to ensure a safe community for all."
