Suffield Police Host Commercial Vehicle Training Session
A commercial vehicle training session was hosted by Suffield Police and the East Granby DPW.

SUFFIELD, CT — The Suffield Police Department on Monday sponsored an advanced training class for area police departments to promote commercial motor vehicle awareness.
The one-day session, presented by inspectors from the state Department of Motor Vehicles Commercial Vehicle Safety Division, trained local and state police officers on how to recognize common violations on trucks and other commercial vehicles and how to enforce safety laws such as equipment violations, mechanical violations, and truck-specific regulations.
Officers attending were from the Avon, Canton, East Granby, Enfield, Farmington, Granby, Simsbury, and Suffield police departments. State police also attended.

The attending officers participated in classroom lecture and training in Suffield then traveled
to East Granby, where a practical field exercise took place at the town's Department of Public Works.

address traffic and highway safety concerns by visiting the town of Suffield website.
