Suffield Police Looking for Suspicious Man
Two recent incidents involving a man watching or talking to young girls have prompted an investigation by Suffield police.

SUFFIELD, CT — A pair of recent incidents involving a suspicious man in a vehicle has prompted additional patrols by the Suffield Police Department.
On March 20, police responded to the area of Birch Road when a parent reported that the male driver of a blue sport utility vehicle or van pulled alongside a middle school age girl to talk with her. The driver is described as a white male, approximately 40 years old, with short black colored hair and no facial hair, Lt. Chris McKee said.
On Wednesday afternoon, police received a report that a Kia sport utility vehicle, described as possibly blue or green in color, was parked on Pine Road in front of a home where a five-year-old child was playing in the yard, McKee said.

Both incidents occurred between 3 and 4 p.m.
Police have been conducting additional patrols in these and surrounding areas, while an investigation continues to identify the driver, McKee said.

The police department is asking for the community’s assistance. Anyone who might know the identity of this person, have witnessed a similar type of occurrence, or have any information is asked to call the Suffield Police Department at (860) 668-3870. Information provided will be kept confidential at the caller’s request, McKee said.
