Suffield Police Officer Saves Distressed Goose [VIDEO]

The officer removed a fishing lure from the honking waterfowl's bill.

SUFFIELD, CT — More than 13,500 views have already been accumulated on the Suffield Police Department Facebook page for a video of an officer helping rescue a goose in distress.

The video shows Officer Robert Dabkowski removing a fishing lure from the bill of a honking Canada goose. When finally freed of the impediment, the goose was released back into nature.

A caption accompanying the video states, "As a police officer in a rural town, you never know what your day will bring. Nice job Officer Dabkowski."
