Suffield Police Urging Residents to Stay Home

Blizzard conditions have worsened since the snowfall began Tuesday morning.

SUFFIELD, CT — Blizzard conditions have worsened in north-central Connecticut, and the Suffield Police Department is urging residents to stay off the roads.

Police report "very little vehicle traffic" thus far Tuesday.

"So far, no collisions and only one assist motorist," Capt. Chris McKee said. "Most people are staying at home and off the roads, which we appreciate. This makes it easier to ensure public safety and for the Highway Department to conduct snow plowing operations."
