Suffield Public Schools Names Teacher of the Year

Shannon Insero, a second-grade teacher at A. Ward Spaulding Elementary School, has been named the 2013-14 teacher of the year.

According to a Suffield Public Schools release, it was Insero’s “abiding commitment to the success of all students” that helped her stand out as this year’s winner.

Insero “desires for students to love to come to school each day, develop a love for learning, leave school each day a more passionate and compassionate person, and know fully that she believes in them,” the release said.

Insero was nominated by her colleagues who said she creates a safe and engaging learning environment for all children and excels at meeting the varying needs of all the learners in her class.
