The much awaited summer is finally here. It is time be grateful for sunshine and beautiful weather! Remember back a few months ago, when all we wanted desperately was to get out of the snow, ice and cold? Well, now our wish has come true! Summer in Suffield brings beauty and much opportunity for enjoyment amidst the inevitable heat and humidity. With the sunshine lasting much longer it is time to enjoy summer camps, back yard Barbecues, family time, swimming and all that our wonderful surroundings have to offer.

Now is not the time to be a coach potato! This summer, plan to take advantage of our town’s beautiful parks and fields. Outdoor activities can be enjoyed everywhere! Why not play a game of softball, soccer, field hockey or enjoy a picnic at Bruce Park? Or play a game of hoop, tennis or run a mile on the track at the High School or the Family Recreation Complex? The East Street Field is great for a game of softball. Soccer and baseball can also be enjoyed at the Sullivan Athletic Field. Our crown jewels of Suffield are the scenic Sunrise Park and Babbs Beach. You could spend many memorable summer days there hiking the picturesque trails at Sunrise, swimming at the delightful lake and picnicking. We have the incredible opportunity to get active and rediscover our own beautiful backyard right here in Suffield. We also hope to see you at our summer programs and events.
