Suffield Warns Residents Ahead Of Road Work

Suffield said mailboxes do not need to be moved ahead of the scheduled paving work.

SUFFIELD, CT — A stretch of Bridge Street in Suffield is set for road work next month.

Town officials said milling and paving work will take place on Bridge Street from 769 Bridge St. to the WPCA pump station near 651 Bridge St. beginning the week of Monday, May 4, weather permitting. The project is expected to take no more than one week.

Ahead of the work, the town is asking residents to remove any private items located within the town’s right of way, within 10 feet of the edge of the road. Officials said that includes things like landscaping features or decorations.

The town said it and its contractor will not be responsible for repairing or replacing items left in that area. Mailboxes do not need to be moved.
