SUV Crashes Into Suffield Business
No serious injuries were reported, but the vehicle operator was placed under arrest, according to police.

SUFFIELD, CT — A sport utility vehicle crashed into a Suffield business Monday afternoon, resulting in damage to the building and the driver being placed under arrest.
Around 3:15 p.m., emergency personnel of the Suffield police, Suffield Volunteer Ambulance and Suffield Fire Department responded to the Fas Mart convenience store and gas station at 801 Thompsonville Road, at the intersection of East Street North (Route 159), and learned a Chevrolet Blazer SUV had struck the building, causing minor damage, Capt. Christopher McKee said.
The on-duty clerk at the store was transported to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The building was temporarily closed while staff made repairs, and the Suffield building inspector responded to the scene to evaluate the damage and effect of the collision to the building structure, McKee said.
