Townwide Tag Sale Returns To Suffield

The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day across participating homes.

SUFFIELD, CT — Suffield residents can now register their homes for the 2026 Suffield Community Tag Sale, with organizers asking participants to sign up by Sunday, April 26.

The communitywide tag sale is scheduled for May 2 and May 3 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Residents can choose to participate in one or both days when registering.

Organizers are encouraging sellers to use detailed item descriptions to help attract more buyers. For example, instead of listing “family room furniture,” participants are asked to specify items such as a sectional couch or maple rocker.

A rain date has been set for May 9. If weather also forces cancellation that day, the 2026 event will be called off, according to the notice. Updates will be posted on the group’s Facebook page.

To help advertise individual tag sales, Sustainable Suffield is also selling reusable branded yard signs for $5 each, cash only. The two-sided corrugated plastic signs measure 24 inches wide by 18 inches tall and come with a heavy-duty metal stake.

Signs will be available for purchase April 25 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in front of Town Hall and from noon to 1 p.m. at the Suffield Senior Center. They will also be sold April 27 through April 30 from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and on Friday, May 1 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Town Hall Planning and Zoning Department on the lower level.

Organizers said anyone buying a sign must comply with Suffield zoning rules for temporary signage, place the sign only on their own property, and remove it once the tag sale ends
