Woman Sentenced to Probation for Role in Murder

The victim's body was found stuffed in a duffle bag in West Suffield.

Five years probation was the sentence given to the 31-year-old woman who played a role in the 2013 murder of a Hartford man whose body was found stuffed inside a duffle bag in a wooded area of West Suffield.

Meaghan Cowles pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution and tampering with evidence in connection with the death of Peter Boateng, 56, and cooperated by testifying against two other defendants who will be sentenced in coming months, according to The Courant.

Jose Rodriguez and Anthony Hudson were charged with the assault and murder and Cowles admitted to helping Rodriguez hide the body in a duffle bag and dumping it near Quarry and Phelps roads.
