Please join us for our 11th Annual Oktoberfest on Sunday, October 9th at Autumn Ridge, the farm for the Connecticut Draft Horse Rescue (113 Chestnut Hill Rd, East Hampton CT 06424). Admission is FREE and plenty of parking! Come meet the horses of the CDHR from 11am - 3pm. There will be vendors, raffles, wagon rides, and fun for the entire family! Brick and Basil and Wayne’s Wings and Things will be serving up delicious food all day! Wet your palette with a variety of beers, stouts, ales and IPAs from Kinsmen Brewery. The CDHR is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of neglected or abused draft horses as well as draft horses headed to slaughter. Their mission is to vet, quarantine, rehabilitate, train and re-home rescued horses with a strict contract for their life-long protection. Since its inception, they have rescued more than 110 horses with the majority placed in forever homes. The CDHR is run strictly on public donations. Fundraisers, such as this one, ensure they have the resources needed to continue caring for the horses at Autumn Ridge.
