16th Annual Shelter Collection Drive

Help local animal shelters this holiday season!

Join us on Saturday December, 9th 2023 for the 16th Annual Shelter Collection Drive, hosted by Presents for Paws, to collect items for CT animal shelters this holiday season. Stop by and see us at two locations: John Gagnon’s Pet Resort – 227 Upton Road, Colchester (10am-2pm), and Shagbark Lumber – 21 Mt. Parnassus Rd, East Haddam (10am-2pm).

We are accepting the following donations based on shelter needs/requests: Cat litter (high priority!); Dog food (Purina preferred, wet/dry - unopened, please no Ol' Roy or Beneful); Cat/kitten food (wet/dry, any brand - unopened); Cat/dog treats (no rawhide); New/gently used dog toys (especially kongs & chew toys; Cleaning supplies (clorox wipes/spray, trash bags, paper towels). Monetary donations are also appreciated - they are tax deductible and 100% of your donations go to help shelter animals. Let's put our paws together and help out our furry friends this howl-iday season!

Presents for Paws is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in East Haddam that collects and distributes supplies to area shelters, rescues, and municipal pounds.
