Suspect Gets 'That's a Lot of Coke' Text During Arrest
Haddam and East Haddam police logs for April 5-9.

The following arrest information was supplied by the state police at the Troop F barracks in Westbrook and Middletown police. Inclusion in these reports does not indicate a conviction.

Physical Altercation: State Police, Troop F, responded to a disturbance at a residence located at 114 Brault Hill Road in Higganum where a physical altercation had occurred between Robert Gleason, of the same address, and Kery Sheltra of Rocky Hill. Gleason was placed under arrest and charged with 3rd degree assault and disorderly conduct. Sheltra was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. Both parties were released on a $1000 security bond and given a court date of 4/19/2012 at Superior Court in Middletown.

Interfering with Officer, Disorderly Conduct: Police witnessed Eleas Vlisides, 33, of Falls Road, Moodus and Taylor Pearson, 42, of Leesville Road, Moodus, leave Mezzo’s nightclub on Court Street in Middletown. According to a Middletown police report, both were clearly intoxicated at the time. Pearson, the report says, yelled profanities at officers who asked them to leave the area and advanced upon them threateningly. Vlisides “approached the cruiser in a threatening manner.” Pearson was arrested and charged for interfering with an officer and disorderly conduct. Vlisides was charged for interfering with an officer.

Distribution and Posession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell within 1,500 feet of School, Non-student Posessing Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia Near School: At 5:40 p.m., Guy Hall, 21, of Foothills Road, Higganum, was driving a Honda Civic with only one brake light on Prospect Street. When pulled over, police say, Hartzell said it wasn’t his car and had a glass pipe with marijuana inside and a baggie with marijuana. The passenger, Jacob Hartzell, 19, of no certain address, said he was on parole and had an ankle bracelet. Inside the car, the report says, were two baggies with cocaine inside and another with Inositol, used for cutting cocaine. In the visor above the driver, police found several baggies of cocaine and sandwich bags on the floor of the car. Hall’s cell phone, police say, was actively receiving text messages asking for “coke.” Hartzell’s had messages, including, “that’s a lot of coke.” Police say Hartzell admitted his car was in Veteran’s Park and had more cocaine in it. There, officers found, a bag of cocaine and a CVS bottle of 100 empty Inositol capsules. Hartzell told officers, the report says, he was selling to support his habit. The total amount of cocaine was 17 grams and the marijuana totaled 3.5 grams. Both were charged with the above.
