The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will be holding an ABS (About Boating Safety) class on Sunday, June 1,Β 2014Β at the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company, 439 Saybrook Rd, Higganum.
The one-day class will start atΒ 8:30Β a.m.Β and will conclude at approximatelyΒ 4:30 p.m.
The cost is $40 and checks should be made out to the USCGA Flotilla 25-02.
The boating class will allow students to be licensed toΒ operate boats and PWC (Personal Water Craft). All students must have a Conservation ID numberΒ before the class. This can be obtained by going to the DEEP website and registering.
If you need a Connecticut Conservation ID number, go to theΒ Online Sportsman LicensingΒ system and complete the registration process. Follow the instructions for "First TimeΒ Customers"
