The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will be holding an ABS (About Boating Safety) class on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company, 439 Saybrook Rd, Higganum.
The one-day class will start at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude at approximately 4:30 p.m.
The cost is $40 and checks should be made out to the USCGA Flotilla 25-02.
The boating class will allow students to be licensed to operate boats and PWC (Personal Water Craft). All students must have a Conservation ID number before the class. This can be obtained by going to the DEEP website and registering.
If you need a Connecticut Conservation ID number, go to the Online Sportsman Licensing system and complete the registration process. Follow the instructions for "First Time Customers"
