Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive, E-lim-i-nate the Pretension The Important things to remember when picking the right Wine for You !

For me, wine is like family. There are great times and difficult times. Much like family, wine can warm your heart and inspire the soul. Family takes compromise and hard work. As Sir Robert Scott Caywood said “Compromises are made for relationships…not wine.”

So on that note, how do you make the right choice and not compromise? This is not Harry Potter where the “Wand chooses the Wizard”, you choose the wine. Don't let pretentious wine ratings or the fancy bottles with pretty shapes and carvings sway you. If the wine comes in a box, jug or glass beaker don't let it sour your decision either way. There is only one thing you need to remember. TASTE is King, Queen & Vineyard.

Don't be anxious or nervous about picking a wine. You are not standing in front of those American Idol judges, you don't have a recording contract on the line. Choose what tastes delicious and inviting to you. If your choice happens to cost $7 a bottle, how perfect! If the Wine tasting Gods have chosen a bottle costing $30 or more for you, save your money, buy by the case and savor it when you can. Taste as many wines as you can from all regions of the globe and you are bound to unearth superb wine that is affordable for your budget. As in life, you should never do, drink or eat something you don't enjoy. Life is too short not to drink good wine.

So go and explore, wonderful wine awaits you. Eat, drink and taste your way to Positivity not Pretension. Still in a quandary about choosing a fabulous wine? Head to your local wine shop or vineyard and taste away. For free, or just a few dollars, you can try a plethora of wine and find the one for you. A few local suggestions:
