Funny Little Moments

We all have them. Funny little moments caught in your mind for the time being. Maybe you smile from them. Maybe you share the experience with someone. But often times, years from now, we forget these moments and press on. We need pinterest for the mind, right?

I wanted to capture these twinkles in my mind and put them to paper (or web). Here's one.

I purchased a $10 baby pool for the dog. Whenever he's hot from running rampant around the yard, the pool is there for a quick drink and a nice cool down. I keep it clean and fresh and it's always ready for him.

Lately, my dog has discovered the swamp in the woods, which apparently, is much cooler than the $10 pool. He basks in it. Drinks from it. Rolls in it. By the end, his white fur is pure black and his hair is caked in muck. His entire body is sticky. I hose him down as he tries to lick me. He's happy. Soon my anger curtails and we're running around the yard again. Of course, I keep us far from the swamp but I'm sure we'll meet again.
