HK Youth Lacrosse Brings Home Wins from Colchester Cavalcade

All of the HK Youth Lacrosse Boys teams participated in the 2012 Colchester Cavalcade on Saturday May 19th.  

The Bantam team (3rd and 4th graders) played hard all day with an 8-game schedule and walked away with 4 solid wins against Colchester (3-1), Watertown (9-0), RHAM (5-2), and Colchester (4-3).  Scorers for the day included Kyle Cusick with 8, Cody Walczak and Dylan Kasperzyk each with 4, Jared Yakimoff with 2, Patrick O'Hanlon and JD DeLaurentis each with 3, Cal Braren, Samual Trahan, Ryder Wink, and Antonio Giambini each with 1.  Johnny Bruder and Gavin Barile also put forth an amazing performance in goal.  

The Senior Boys 8th grade team also came away from the Cavalcade with a 4-0 record.  In the first game against RHAM, which HK won 3-0, goals were scored by Zach Hermann (2) and Grayson Adler (1), with assists by Liam Murphy.  Goalie Adam Massicott had 2 saves.  Next, HK brought down Watertown 4-2, with 2 goals scored by Carter Steinhillper and 1 each contributed by Hermann and Markus Trahan.  Steinhilper, Nick Wright, Grant Glass, and Trahan all also had an assist and goalie Massicott had 6 saves in the game.  HK's third victim of the day was Norwich (8-0) with 2 goals each scored by Murphy and Steinhilper, and Jack O'Brien.  Hermann and Quinn Reardon each added another score.  Assists were made by Murphy, Adler, and John Insall.  HK finished off the Cavalcade with a win over Somers (6-0) with goals by Steinhilper, Murphy, Jarod Perry, Adler, Glass, and Jack Forte.  Assists were made by Murphy, Hermann, Max Kops, Quinn Reardon (2), and Glass.
