Race for the Kids, Presented by Riverhouse Properties which will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2012.

This event offers fun for the whole family with contests, face painting, Halloween crafts, Kids Fun Run and more. This is one of Haddam’s and Killingworth’s most attended events and is looked forward to by all. This race event benefits the Youth and Family Services of Haddam-Killingworth (YFS), a non-profit organization committed to enhancing child and youth development, enriching families, and promoting healthy Haddam and Killingworth communities.  YFS provides individual, family, and group counseling, positive youth development programs, education in substance abuse, and parenting programs. No one is refused services based on ability to pay.  This is a great cause to support as well as an opportunity to connect with many  town residents and businesses!

This scenic race starts at the Higganum Green.  Over 50 towns in Connecticut are represented in the race with hundreds of spectators.  Sponsorships directly benefit the children and families of Haddam and Killingworth.
