Hunter Daniels/Dan Dombroski Memorial Park

The construction of the skate park is ongoing, although the rain has slowed the progression a bit. They continue to work with the concrete in the "bowl" area of the park. After speaking to the builders, and on the several reports of concerned citizens, we have learned that people are using the park to skate/ride while it is being built.

This use creates many problems, including the great risk of injury to the trespasser. The park is not ready to use, and is dangerous. There is also the problem of damage to the park.The concrete is new and has not yet cured fullly. Damage to the cement in the construction stage would mean that funds will need to be spent on repairs before the park is even open-this repair expense could prevent us from completing the park as planned.

Please remain off the cement area until the park is complete. Please ask your friends to do the same! We are so excited to have this wonderful park in East Haddam, please do not jeopardize it's completion by using it before it is finished!
