Mark Your Calendars - July 14 is the East Haddam Lions' Auction

It’s that time of year again.  The East Haddam Lions Club will be hosting its annual auction & tag sale on Saturday, July 14^th.  The tag sale begins at 8:00am, the auction begins at 10:00am, good food & good times will be had all day.  Also, beginning at 10:00am free bikes will be raffled off every 20 minutes for kids 14 & under. 

Currently, the lions are seeking donations of all sizes.  Cars, boats, trailers and other large items are in special demand. Some items that have already been donated include 2 BMW motorcycles, a motorized scooter, a grain silo, gravely equipment, and furniture of all shapes and sizes.  All donations are tax deductible and help the Lions support a wide array of community projects.

In the past, proceeds from the annual auction have helped to fund Thanksgiving & Christmas food baskets, aid to the local food & fuel banks, multimedia equipment for the East Haddam Library, lighting for Legion Field, little league field equipment, emergency vehicles for the fire department, and much more.
