Portal Back In Time: Early 1900's Postcards

Looking through old postcards my great grandparents sent to one another, these little pieces of paper hold so much history and allowed me a small glimpse into the past. Now I share them with you.

Looking through old postcards my great grandparents sent to one another, I came across many containing pictures of Connecticut towns dating from 1900 to 1911. These little pieces of paper still holding their one cent stamp hold so much history and allowed me a small glimpse into the past. Seeing how these towns used to look, towns I see all the time, was fascinating. Since the early 1900's new buildings have been built, more people have moved in, and what is seen in these postcards is not exactly what we see today. I wanted to share these little portals into the past because I know, as fellow Connecticut residents, you may find meaning in them as well.

Do you live in any of these towns or have memories from them? If so feel free to reminisce about days past and share your stories below. We all have a history and these postcards may open up a past we've forgotten.
