An Unusual Love Story, included in A Midnight Stroll, was chosen by National Public Radio to be read on-air. Maureen’s anthology has been more than ten years in the making. The stories have received great reviews from Glimmer Train, and The Boston Review, among others.

Maureen is a contributing writer for the National Free Press, has written and illustrated stories for children, and authored a question/answer column called Ask the Amphibian for the Main Street News. In addition to Midnight Stroll she has written four other books. Ms. Heidtmann was a resident of East Haddam for more than thirty years and now resides in East Hampton.
